Bach / Pärt

Goldberg Variations & Stabat Mater

STRING TRIO & THREE VOICES

Two works separated by nearly three centuries, brought together through a shared sense of structure, simplicity, and reflection.

Bach's Goldberg Variations, heard here in Dmitry Sitkovetsky's arrangement for string trio, reveals the individual voices within an extraordinary architecture of variation. In Arvo Pärt's Stabat Mater, three singers join the strings in music of remarkable restraint, where silence becomes as expressive as sound.

Together, the works invite a different kind of listening — one shaped by space, stillness, and the unfolding of musical time.
